On Sunday, the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort organized a Toys for Tots Pack-the-Truck initiative to bring holiday joy to local children. The event garnered almost $500 in cash donations, along with 236 toys and books. Additionally, the Winning Hands group presented a generous $1,954 check benefiting Washington and Johnson Counties. Teaming up with the Swarm Collective, the Casino enlisted the help of five University of Iowa athletes—Brody Brecht (baseball), Drake Ayala and Brody Teske (wrestlers), and Josie Durr and Kelli McGroarty (soccer)—who actively engaged with donors during the event.
