Contributions To SWARM Collective Earn Athletic Priority Points

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa Athletics Department is excited to announce that contributions made to the SWARM Collective will now earn priority points through the I-Club priority points system.

The athletic department will provide one point per $100 for contributions made to the SWARM Collective non-tax-deductible account – Swarm, Inc. – from July 1,2024 through June 30, 2025.

“As we prepare for the changes in collegiate athletics related to the “House Settlement” and revenue sharing, we wanted to recognize those donors who support our student-athletes’ NIL activities through the SWARM Collective.”  said Beth Goetz, Henry B. and Patricia B. Tippie Director of Athletics Chair. “We are fortunate to have a strong relationship with the SWARM Collective and appreciate the support they have provided, especially as we’ve entered this transition phase towards revenue sharing.”

This initiative is designed to encourage and reward contributions that support our student-athletes’ NIL opportunities, further incorporating these efforts into our broader fundraising and support strategies.

“Once the “House Settlement” is enacted, NIL opportunities for our student-athletes will remain a priority for our department and we will be solicited through our athletics development team,” said Goetz. “We will continue to work with the SWARM Collective, and their generous supporters, to determine what their path looks like post settlement.”

The athletic department and SWARM Collective are still finalizing details, and more information will be communicated in the near future.
